Driver & licence requirements
When you pick the car up, you'll need:
- Passport or national ID card
- Valid Driving licence
- Credit card
All drivers must be aged between 25 and 75.
- If you are aged below 25 or over 75, you may still be able to rent certain vehicles and a surcharge may apply.
Security deposit
A pre-authorisation on your payment card will likely be required before the vehicle is released to you, calculated as the cost of the vehicle rental plus a nominal extra amount. Please see the expanded terms and conditions for futher information.
Damage and theft
If the car's bodywork gets damaged, or the car is stolen, the most you'll pay towards repairs or replacement of the vehicle is the damage & theft which will be indicated in areement form upon pick-up.
This cover is only valid if you adhere to the terms of the rental agreement. It does not cover the vehicle e.g. windows, wheels, undercarriage and interior. Charges for towing or other services are not covered. Contents of the car are also not insured e.g. Child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings
Terms and conditions
Additional Driver / Operator
The person named on the reservation must be the main driver, present at time of rental and payer of any rental charges. Additional drivers are possible with a fee of USD 20.88 (including tax) per day with a maximum of USD 626.40 (including tax) per rental. Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement at any Hertz branch within the country where the vehicle was rented.
